More good news for flights to Spain, in particular to Malaga Airport from Belgrade in Serbia.
Air Serbia is the national flag carrier for Serbia and they have announced that they will now be connecting directly between Belgrade and Malaga with direct flights.
The Serbia Air manager for Spain, Maja Radivojevic confirmed the new link when they attended the ITB international travel fair in Berlin
Having already added flights to Spain with direct connections to both Spanish Airports of Madrid Airport and Barcelona back in 2019, they have added the new connection as a result of the additional demand post pandemic, and what they are calling a ‘boom’ in people wanting to head to the Costa del Sol.
They are excited about adding the new route to Malaga as they consider it to be the ‘gateway to southern Europe’. They are seeing an increased demand from Serbians choosing the Costa del Sol as a holiday destination during 2023.
Belgrade to Malaga will be a twice weekly flight and there are no plans to reduce it off peak, it is set to remain in place all year round.
As a result of the new connection, it has also boosted other sectors of the tourism industry in southern Spain with Serbian based tour operators getting in touch with accommodation supplier and hospitality sectors.
