There is a small runway at Gibraltar Airport which when not in use is the main access road to the main town of Gibraltar. Sometimes if it is too windy Gibraltar Airport arrivals might be redirected to the nearby Malaga airport or in some cases to Jerez Airport.

Once arrived at Gibraltar you will need to walk a short distance from the plane to the brand new terminal building where you will go through passport control and customs. Please note that if you are arriving at Gibraltar Airport from a non EU country and then passing across to Spain, you may need a special permit and have your passport stamped.
